Dream Ideas

It's great to be the director of your dreams, but in case you run out of things to do, here are some great lucid dreaming ideas to consider.

Enjoy Your Own Creation:
Sometimes it's good to just walk around and take a look at what your mind has created for you. It's kind of like getting to be on the set of your favorite show or exploring around in a video game wondering how everything was designed and created. This is good for beginners who are just starting out.

Rehearse a Scenario:
Rehearse a scenario like asking for a raise, talking to a pretty girl or giving a public speech. Rehearsing a confrontation might give you more confidence in yourself when the real opportunity comes up. Also, seeing how you'd react in certain situations will help you cope and solve problems when a similar situation comes up in real life.

Get Therapy:
It's good to talk out your problems, but if you don't have anyone to listen, see a therapist in your dream. Since it's your dream, you can make anyone listen to you, even if it's not a therapist, but a group of people who find you fascinating.

Healing:
Often times we have trouble with meditation and imagining symbolic things like a ball of white light in us. However, if you're in a dream you can use your imagination and add soothing imagery to help you meditate more clearly.

Take a Wild Vacation:
It's good to take a short vacation even if it's in your dream. A nice beach getaway can help you forget your worries, but if it's a dream, think outside of the box. What about a vacation on an uncharted, lush, green planet where you can see saturn really huge in the sky. A place where no one will bother you and you can pet furry sea creatures who wait on you hand and foot. A place where exotic fruits grow from crazy looking trees and where you can soak your feet in a warm pool of clear blue water.

Fantasize for Fun:
You can act out your fantasies like soaring through the sky, having special powers or being a super hero. Simply throwing a party in your dream with everyone there is a fun thing to do, but since it's a dream anything is possible. You can even have the party on a bunch of clouds in the sky if you wanted to.

Have Sex:
You can also act out your sexual fantasies as well, and choose any partner you'd like, real or made up. It can help relieve sexual tension in your daily life, as opposed to using your imagination when you're awake. It feels much more real in a dream and some have claimed to reach orgasm in their sleep.

Going Back in Time:
You can't time travel in your dream, but if you attempt to you may feel successful. Only your brain can create the dream world, so if you try to go back in time to see how your parents met, or see what it was really like in 1950, you will be disappointed to know that it's not real. It's merely all made up by your brain, as accurate as it may think the experince would be like. However, if you don't take what you see as the truth, then it can be a fun thing to do.

Memory Recall:
Recalling an old forgotten memory in your dream is very unlikely. Whatever you're trying to remember, whether a name or experience you had, it will likely be made up by your brain. Like, hypnotism, the brain can create a false memory without you being able to prove whether it's accurate or not.

Dropping in on Someone:
Again, this is not real, but only a projection of what your brain would think they'd look like. As long as you don't take it as being real, floating to someone at night to check on them can be good therapy especially when you're away from your loved ones.

Talking to Those Who Passed:
Don't take what they say in truth, but know what they say is what they'd likely say according to your brain. This can also be good therapy, to allow you to say goodbye or spend time with someone who was very close to you.
